Description

Social workers have immeasurable possibilities to directly and indirectly impact the lives and well-being of individuals, families and communities impacted by domestic violence. In multiple settings where social workers practice, direct programs, or develop policy there is increasing opportunity for them to influence and enhance the provision of services and influence ending the vicious cycle of violence. This webinar will cover ways that social workers, regardless of their role, can raise awareness about domestic violence in their practice and community.

Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will learn about the prevalence of domestic violence in the United States
2. The audience will gain knowledge about domestic violence myths and reality
3. Participants will gain skills in responding to clients who have experienced domestic violence, and who are or are suspected of being perpetrators
